Hey everyone It's been a long time since I have updated this here front page of the site. I've been doing some work these past couple of months. First up in march a series of events happened. All starting on twitter...

So that boosted my day, that was a bad week. So the week went on and I had to get ready for my first art show in April when this happened...

So yeah that felt great. That didn't change my life in anyway, but it did let me that I am not creating in a vacuum. It was cool of him to use me as an example of the Artst.com website.

So next up was the art show that was after my birthday. It was pretty good a good number of people came out. It was in Virginia. I had about 5 pieces there. I would like to do some more this year.

Gambit, a character of such Hate and such Love. Gambit has always been cool to me. throwing playing cards is awesome, not many other things are as cool. I'm not fan however of his costume, I just don't get it. So I made him a more rugged looking rocker. You know Gambit is the great seducer of the X-Men, the Lothario.

Here is my Rogue. She is all covered except for her face. I'm basing what these characters wear by what I see in the street or in mags or the net. I try to keep up with seeing what people are wearing.

So here is my storm. She's in her mid-twenties. Most of my X-Men will be in that age range 24-27. So she will wear mostly Black clothing, with the exception of the yellow lighting bolt on top. She is holding a leather Jacket. I based her hair on Rihanna, the stle she had in the Umbrella video. Her and Cyke are the leaders of the team.

This is my start of my remixes of X-Men characters. I had friends say I should do them after seeing my Hawk and Dove remixes. At First I chose only 7 X-Men but as you see I just keep doing them. These are all quick sketches, nothing really serious, just 15-20 minute drawing in my sketch book. This one here is of Wolverine and Thunderbird. In my world the X-Men doesn't really wear costumes, they wear fly gear, they are kinda like Super-powered modern Hipsters. But with Wolvie being older he wouldn't really be into that. He's like the bad ass old dude in the school. The teacher that does all the other Jobs, like Gym and health class. Now Thunderbird. He died so quickly that he's an open book. That is why I would use him. To me he would hang with Wolverine and Banshee, being that they would all be older than Cyke, Storm and the other X-Men and not want to be around the New Mutant after classes are over for the day. As you see I kept his symbol and put it on his t-shirt. Thunderbird to me should be a complete badass.

DC Universe: Ummm...... the timeline makes sense to me.

I don't talk about comics much on here, or much of anything but lately when I'm online I keep seeing people confused with the current state of the DC timeline. For me it's pretty simple, I don't need things to be exactly linear for me to follow them. So let's try and make some sense out of it here for people that are confused.

So here is the culprits of confusion..
Countdown

Amazons Attack

Sinestro Corp War

Black Canary/Green Arrow Wedding Special

So far the most confusion right now is Kyle Rayner.

See If you are reading the Green Lantern Titles, Kyle Rayner is this

But in Countdown for the past 2 weeks he's this

I think most of the confusion can be blamed on thinking that these things are happening at the same time. They are not, publishing time does not equal Continuity time. If you look at at everything with a closer eye, one being that Hal is around alot in other books with no stress at all like in the Wedding Specials for that matter. We also see John (Stewert) in those specials. So one must be, is that the Sinestro War happens before all the current events we are seeing now, and I'd say before amazons attack and possibly before the events in the lightning saga or at least right after. We need more Green Lantern issues out to really place the timeline. Seeing Kyle in Countdown and the tie-in issues means this has happened, He's better we don't know how but we do know it happens.

One way I explain things that are happening to people who don't get it or not reading DC is to use the story telling style of the Marvel Secret Wars.

See I use this reference because of how it was released. At the time in the Marvel Titles you saw the characters go into these domes and in the next issue come out from the domes and everything was different (i.e. in the Fantastic Four now had She-Hulk as a member and The Thing was gone, Spider-man had a Black Costume, etc.). To understand all of the changes you had to read Secret Wars. Secret Wars was a 12 issue maxi-series that had the characters of the Marvel Universe taken and put on the planet called Battle World by a mysterious being called the Beyonder. This is a good comparison in my eyes because of the current state of how comic stories are told. Every Comic these days are told in 6 issue arcs, so in a way every comic is a series of mini series. They can't ever really match up unless everything is written by the same writer. Now back in the day most comic stories were one issue tales with threads flowing through the book over time. It was a lot easier to fit things in and handle crossovers.

When I first heard of this I didn't know what to think. After buying Hyper Fighting on XBLA and fighting online and the lag I didn't have high hopes. But this image gives me a little hope about this game. There needs to be more 2d fighting games on these Next-Gen consoles, with all this new technology the games should look like Samurai Champloo quality animation that I can play. And if this moves well then we might have a first step.

I drew this some time ago, I think last spring around March or April of '06. Jubilee is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and specifically one of my fav X-men characters. I wasn't happy with what happended to her after House of M, and the way some people wrote her afterwards. It was on my Goal list to draw Jubilee once I get into comics, but since she has appeared in Wolverine Origins and Joe Quesada has said there are plans for her I guess i'll scratch that off my list I just hope they don't mess her up anymore.

this is where I was working out how I wanted every thing to look. I inked the drawing, and frst colored the lines with red, then overlayed the line over it in Black. I thoiught the red Dot Pattern would add a good graphic quality to it.

After reading the preview of next issue of Batman on Newsarama, I thought it would be cool to show Cassie Cain as Damien's (Batman's son) teacher, beng that she is the best fighter now.
